A South Indian wedding is not one event. It is four or five, each with its own light, its own length and its own expectations, and dressing for all of them as though they were the same is the most common mistake we see.
The mehendi
Long hours, seated, hands occupied. Choose something with no sleeve detail you will have to protect, and a fabric that forgives.
The muhurtham
Traditional, early, and hot. This is where a lightly woven piece earns its place over a heavily embroidered one.
The reception
The only function where structure is genuinely comfortable, because it is short and largely spent standing.
